The 2016 Hannah Arendt Circle Is Now Accepting Papers!

10-28-2015

The Department of Philosophy at West Chester University will be hosting the tenth independent conference of the Hannah Arendt Circle, March 10-12, 2016.

As in past years, we invite individual submissions for papers on any aspect of Arendt's work, including critiques and applications of her thinking. As we celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Hannah Arendt Circle, this year's conference will also include a panel on the relevance of Arendt in the 21st Century for which we are seeking individual paper submissions.

Please send an abstract of the paper (750 word limit) as an email (“.doc” or “.docx”) attachment. Abstracts should be formatted for anonymous review and submitted to the program committee chair, Tal Correm ([email protected]) on or before December 15th, 2015. Please indicate "Arendt Circle submission" in the subject heading of your email message.

Program decisions will be announced by January 10th, 2016.

Phannah arendt circlerogram Committee:

Tal Correm, Allegheny College
Cassie Striblen, West Chester University
Jennifer Gaffney, Texas A&M University

Our first nine independent meetings were outstanding, and we are looking forward to the same camaraderie and intense discussion of Arendt’s work at this year’s conference. Each speaker will have 35 minutes in total (20 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for discussion).

West Chester University is located in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Program and information concerning travel and accommodation will be available no later than February 10th, 2016 at www.thearendtcircle.com.
