The Political Tradition in the Work of Hannah Arendt
10-08-2015This past week, Mery C. Castillo, a member of the Hannah Arendt Center and participant in our monthly virtual reading group, recently sent us a picture of her personal Arendt library:
Here is what she had to say about the image:
This image depicts some of the volumes that comprise the personal research library of Mery Castillo C. PhD. on the work of Hannah Arendt. Also shown are books on Arendt for a course in political theory, a class which I teach as a member of the faculty of Political Science and Government at the University of Rosario in Bogota, Colombia.
Along with the above image, Dr. Castillo was kind enough to send along a photograph of her book La tradición política en la obra de Hannah Arendt, or The Political Tradition in the Work of Hannah Arendt in English. This image is shown at right:
Here is what she had to say about her book:
The Political Tradition in the Work of Hannah Arendt develops the concepts of power, violence, legitimacy, and institutions as a relevant proposal on the deliberations of democracy in contemporary societies.
