Bio:
Philip Lindsay is the Director of the Democracy Innovation Hub at the Hannah Arendt Center. Over the past four years, he has hosted several national gatherings and trainings for elected officials and public servants to learn how to run citizens’ assemblies. These trainings, at Bard and in New York City, led to the first major use of sortition in NYC, and catalyzed a major citywide assembly in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He also organizes trainings with educators on how to bring deliberative democracy into the classroom, and hosts the Democracy Innovation Academy monthly online webinar series, which is free and open to the public.
