Granado discusses the idea of citizenship in a new global age. Globalization and migratory processes have created a
new order governed by the paradigm of displacement. This new principle, based upon mobility, has important consequences for us all and necessitates reflection. The experiences of those displaced; people in transit and people in exile offer some useful lessons in thinking about the world.
Granado incorporates the writings of Hannah Arendt in providing a new framework of citizenship which takes into consideration the philisophical & political ramifications of those who feel expatriated, lost, or invisible.
