This talk applies Hannah Arendt's philosophy of the banality of evil and moral blindness in organizations to business ethics and organizational ethics. Rendtorff investigates figures of banality of evil in corporations on the basis of Hannah Arendt's analysis of Eichmann as the stereotype of the obedient administrator. Additionally, Rendtorff looks at the interpretations of moral blindness in organizations of Bauman and Milgram and applies this to corporations and business organizations.
