Conversation on Courage Dinner Series, with Claudette Aldebot

This event occurred on:  Claudette Aldebot is the Associate Director of the Bard Educational Opportunity Program. Coming from a minority background, Claudette speaks to the power of courage in overcoming hardship and valuing self-worth in paving a pathway to success. Through Claudette’s courage, attendees of this informal dinner can learn how to better form genuine connections and how to empower each other’s differences. Given the dinner’s intimate space, Claudette will also lead a short activity on active listening that explores what meaningful interactions feel and look like.

BIO:
Claudette was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and moved to the Hudson Valley in 1995. She earned her B.A. in Women's Studies and Spanish, and her M.P.A. in Humanistic and Multicultural Education with a focus in Diversity and Inclusion from SUNY New Paltz.  Claudette's higher education experience is in the areas of residence life, assessment, student development and teaching. She also brings an array of skills that were gained from her experience in corporate and non-profit sectors. As a first-generation student, she is passionate about paying it forward and guiding the next generation of BEOP scholars.
