The Arrival Day Resource Fair in the Multi Purpose Room of the Bertelsmann Campus Center is an opportunity for new students and their families to interact with various Bard College offices in one place. Come get to know us at the Hannah Arendt Center - a place for bold and risky thinking in the tradition of 20th century German-Jewish philosopher Hannah Arendt.
HAC provides undergraduate courses on Arendtian themes at Bard, offers numerous student leadership opportunities, and works closely with Bard faculty and staff to host public & academic conferences and events throughout the year. We have deep roots within Bard College: physically located on the Annandale-on-Hudson, NY campus, the HAC offices are in the McCarthy House, which once belonged to novelist, critic, Bard professor, and friend of Hannah Arendt, Mary McCarthy. Bard is also the final resting place of Arendt herself!
