This month's special guest is Sonita Alizadeh ('23), a Global Rhodes Scholar, human rights activist, rapper, and author. Born under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, she survived two attempted child marriages and rose to global prominence with her viral rap “Daughters for Sale.” She is the co-founder of Arezo and The Dreams Book, a secret school for Afghan girls denied access to education. She is also the author of the memoir Sonita, which tells the powerful story of her fight for freedom, education, and human rights. Featured in the Sundance-winning documentary Sonita, she has received numerous honors, including MTV Europe’s Generation Change Award and Forbes 30 Under 30.
