Ten days ago, we launched our Summer Membership Drive with a simple conviction: that Hannah Arendt is not just relevant—but essential for our times. Now, on the final day of our campaign, we are so close to our goal of 200 new and renewing members. It's the last day to take advantage of limited time offers from our generous partners at the Los Angeles Review of Books (LARB), Salmagundi Magazine, and Lapham's Quarterly! Here are some of our other summer announcements:
- Registration is also now open for our annual fall conference, JOY: Loving the World in Dark Times! Attendance is free for members and a guest, as well as Bard students, faculty, and staff - your registration really helps our planning and keeps you in the loop on our most anticipated event of the year!
- The newest edition of our annual publication is out now, and we have made some really exciting upgrades! The Hannah Arendt Yearbook is now published by our year-round partners and friends at De Gruyter Brill. Read more about it!
- We've created the 2025 tote bag, so get ready to see it around!
- This past year, the Hannah Arendt Center reached more people than ever. Our Virtual Reading Group draws over 100 participants each week from around the world and is free for members and Bard students, faculty, and staff. (Our next read is Hannah Arendt's On Revolution, starting in September). Our podcast surpassed 100,000 downloads and published our 100th episode (and is available on your favorite listening platform). Our YouTube channel grew to 13,000+ subscribers and we've upped our game on YouTube Shorts with the help of some talented students. And thanks to support from our members, we funded nearly 20 paid Student Fellowships for Bard College students!
